1. Can any advisor make money for me in these volatile markets?
No advisor can guarantee profits. Advisors give advice. Just like a scout in the Army, he reports back to the General his view of the battlefield. Perhaps that view will give the General the confidence to attack, or perhaps not. Whether the battle is won or lost is still in the hands of the General. Ultimately, it is up to you to make your trading decisions and execute them intra-day depending on market conditions. Fortucast analyst Barry Rosen makes a great scout for most "Generals" because the unique and varied approaches he uses in his research provide a more comprehensive view of the battlefield.

2. What makes Fortucast different from other timing services?
Many of today's popular techniques for market timing involve pattern analysis, including the use of Elliott Wave and Gann cycles. While Barry Rosen uses these techniques and several others to refine his research, he relies mainly on his own proprietary timing methods, which he derived from Gann's more complicated cycle work. Mr. Rosen's analysis combines his expertise in timing methods with a firm grasp of fundamental issues to provide a balanced analysis of up to 18 futures markets.

3. Which types of trades does Fortucast specialize in?
Fortucast is written for all types traders. That's why we are careful to specify which type of trading strategy we are recommending: day-trade (1-2 days), swing trade (3-5 days), short-term position trade (1-3 weeks), or position trade (1 month or longer). We may recommend several types of trades for the same market. For example, we may want to cover our wheat shorts on a swing trade but hold calls as a position trade.

4. What is more important, timing or price?
Fortucast analyst Barry Rosen is renowned for his timing of the markets. Fortucast focuses on timing because prices can always extend and go much farther than expected. Moreover, at certain time windows, price tends to stop on a dime and reverse. Our analysis is especially adept at identifying the key time windows when such reversals are likely to occur. These important turn dates are mostly a function of timing. However, the key to our success is Mr. Rosen’s balanced analysis, which considers price as well as patterns and fundamentals. Our goal is to provide traders with low-risk entries and a realistic appraisal of upside and downside potential.

5. Is your daily service enough for me to trade your system?
We think that our service also requires a good broker to help you execute trades and adjust entries as needed. Our daily service does contain complete trading recommendations and a brief analysis of our thinking in making each recommendation. A broker can help you "read between the lines" of our recommendations. Our monthly newsletter is also helpful because it focuses on longer-term analysis and trends, which space does not permit in our daily service.

6. Can a day-trader use Fortucast?
With every update, Fortucast projects the next day’s expected price movement and direction for most markets, and often specific day trades are recommended. However, the majority of suggested trades are for the swing trader and the short-term position trader, that is trades that last 2-3 days and up to a week or two.

7. What is covered on your S & P Hotline?
Our DAY-TRADERS HOTLINE (6 calls per day) is for traders who want trade that last for just a few hours and for those who want more frequent updates to our daily service. Because these markets move so fast and require intraday instructions in order to find good entries and exits for swing trades and day trades. The S&P Hotline is intended as an adjunct to the Fortucast Financial Timer, which is published nightly for markets of the next day.

8. Does Fortucast ever suggest using options to trade the futures markets?
Some of Mr. Rosen's best work has been his longer-term outlooks for various markets. For instance, agricultural producers and speculators may need price projections for 2-6 months or even up to a year. Often, these long-term position trades are best managed with options. In such cases, Fortucast makes general option recommendations in the long-term outlook sections of our daily service and also in our monthly newsletter.

9. Does Fortucast include hedging recommendations?
Yes, our daily Agricultural timer has a Producer's Section devoted to hedging and position trading for corn, soybeans, and wheat. Our analysis in this section is oriented toward farmers. It includes MAJOR TIMING WINDOWS TO WATCH for the best time to lock in cash contracts.

10. Do your trading recommendations include the night session?
Yes, for some markets. See the TRADING INSTRUCTIONS section of our daily market timers for detailed information about how to execute the trades we recommend. This section includes instructions for trading in the day and night sessions, breakout and breakdown orders, exit targets, market on open orders, etc.

11. What is the purpose of your the CHART TRENDS section in your daily service?
Our daily coverage of each market begins with WEEKLY and DAILY chart trends. Weekly chart trends relate to weekly stochastics and longer-term cycles that can range from 12 weeks to as long as 26-36 weeks. Daily chart trends relate to daily stochastics and shorter cycles that last from 8 days to 6 weeks.

12. What is the purpose of the CHART TURNs in your daily service?
These projected dates are mainly related to 30- and 60-minute stochastics, and sometimes to 15-minute stochastics. Changes in hourly turns vary with different markets. T-Bonds, for example, changes every day. Other markets may move in one direction for 4-7 days. Hourly turns are most useful for swing traders. Note: H and L denote High and Low, where H = the crest of a wave and L = the lowest point of a wave, according to our projections.
